the old phone decided to stop sliding one day and left me miserable with only 6 reachable buttons on the keypad. imagine the agony of texting and calling without abcdef and 123!
so that evening the efficient 3 bears hopped over to beloved Singtel shop and decided on Samsung Jet on the spot. Why must handphones these days be so complicated! Frankly i wouldn need anything more than texting and calling if I do not subscribe to the data plans, but I still get such a not-so-simple phone because it makes more economical sense in the long run. Dad don't even agree on a 3.2mp camera phone for now! -_-
After a night of exploration on the Jet I find the phone a tad 'inefficient'. Many steps could be reduced to reach the same page/function. Many icons could be re-categorised to keep the interface neater and simpler. What struck me the most was its similarity to a Macbook - the concept of Spaces and running applications in the background even when you thought you have closed it. Hmm. I need Ctrl+Q!
Well, it should take me sometime to get used to the Jet. Its gonna stay with me for another 2 years I hope!
