BANGKOK Ooooooverdosed!

Our flight was delayed for almost 4 hr due to technical glitch! Oh yah David! Hows ur complaint letter going? Muahahaha! We might need that complimentary air ticket to Finland now!! =D

Our buddy here still don't know what shit he has gotten himself into!

Gina's uncle picked us up from the airport and brought us to Tom Yum Supper! Of course, SG's Tom Yum is incomparable to Thailand's!

Perhaps I was too tired that night I was amazed by the big coconut they served at the restaurant hahaha!

Heh this is our neighbouring block! We stayed in the uncle's condo (which looked exactly the same as this neighbour!) on the 19th floor. Magnificent view of the lake greeted us every morning! How shiok!

Uncle kindly brought us breakfast for the first day!
You've got to be a finisher of 42.195km to be OUR MAN! HAHAHA!

Shopping at the renowned Chatuchak Market! We were lucky to find ourselves in the better lanes amidst the maze-like market!

me loves strawberry but me don't dare to eat them after seeing houseflies around the berries! okay me is a typical singaporean.

Chatuchak shopping left us half dead but we still dragged our feets to the malls! You must be wondering what happened to our MAN then when he has 2 shopaholics around!

OUR MAN after chatuchak! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Uncle met us at the Siam Paragon and brought us for grocery shopping!

Christmas decorations outside Central World shopping mall. Tis' the season to be jolly!

Of course we'll not miss the 4-faced buddha!

Gina and I didnt know how to start praying! We seriously act devoted only la!

Our MAN after walking the whole day! HAHAHHAA!!!

Our man's favourite dish - the crab fried rice! We all miss it soooooo much now!

Uncle brought us to the ulu seafood restaurant where it is located along a street without street name! HAHHAAHA ULU RIGHT!? In other words, we won't be able to locate the place if not for Uncle!!! I swear the food is HEAVENLY and ridiculously CHEAP... but ULU laaaaaa!

We were DEAD BEAT by the time we got home that night! David sorting out his loot... Our MAN enjoys shopping too!!! =D

We always want to watch DVD at night but we have never made it! David and I never fail to sleep before the movie ended HAHAHA! =D

On the 2nd night Uncle brought us to one of the BEER GARDENs outside Central World! Check out their TOWER... its HUGE!

Our SINGHA BEER!

Uncle asked if we like ROCK MUSIC and then enthusiastically brought us to his club!

The live band was awesome and Uncle introduced his friends to us!

Here's Mimi! She looked gorgeous in person!

Heres dunno who and who and Im not even sure if both were 100% ladies! You get what I mean? HAHAHA! WELCOME TO THAILAND!

Thanks to Uncle we had free liquor and all of us got high and tired by the time we reached home! A good night sleep later and we were recharged for the World Heritage Site the next day!

I always have a lot of free time to cam whore in the morning while waiting for them to shower and get changed HAHAHHAHA!

We were so bored while waiting for Uncle's car to fetch us to Ayuthaya!

Uncle brought us to a great lunch (AGAIN!) on the boat!

Check out the legendary shrimp which is almost one arm's length! The seafood was soooooooooo goooooooooood Im drooling at the thought of it now!

Oh yah guess how old Uncle is? HAHAHAHA!

Uncle brought us to see a huge buddha in a temple where it was believed that Cheng Ho arrived here during his sail!

The temple had hundreds of buddha sculptures on the wall!

These are tombstones!!!

After the temple visit we proceeded to the UNESCO World Heritage Site - Ayuthaya's ancient ruins! The place was picturesque but we felt that it was lacking of content and it wasn't tourist-friendly with the lack of descriptions. Gina thinks that Angkor Wat is much better, what say you?

I merely enjoyed taking photos throughout the journey amongst the ruins HAHAHA! We wouldn't recommend this place to our friends.

In Ayuthaya, sometimes we walked behind elephants...

but sometimes, it is scary when they walk towards us in a group!

Me: This looked like 2 buddhas facing each other!
David: Why would 2 buddhas face each other?!
Me: mmm. yah hor. then perhaps this is a siamese twin buddha!
David: .... huh? -_-""""""

=D

We bought drinks from this cute lil' girl after walking around the ruins. Interestingly, we had to return her our empty bottles after we finished. We guessed that the bottles are sent back to the factory for refill and resell.... anyone any idea?

Its time for elephant ride after walking for hours!

Uncle picked us up and brought us to the massage centre he often visits! We had an hour of Thai foot massage at ~sgd 6! Shhhhhhhhhhhiok la!

The next morning we headed to Jim Thompson's house! Jim Thompson was an American architect who is madly in love with Thailand and Thai silk and mysteriously disappeared during a morning walk in Cameron Highlands. Interesting huh!?

A pity that no photography was allowed in the house during the guided tour. The photos were taken in the garden and reception porch.

Jim Thomson brand of Thai silk is available in high end boutiques in Bangkok. There is Jim Thomson restaurant in Singapore too! I just saw it on The Sunday Times. Anyway the tour was interesting and enjoyable. Best thing is that it is Free! There is no admission fee too! It is our best sightseeing programme in this trip! Do visit this house if you are sick of shopping in Bangkok!

One day we decided to catch Avatar in IMAX THEATRE!

We passed by the Asahi Beer Garden!

The IMAX theatre was disappointing! The screen was way much smaller than we expected. It is in fact comparable to our 3D screens in Singapore. Nevertheless, it was a good experience especially with awfully delicious cheese popcorn! Anyway how often you get to watch movie in a foreign land? :)

We roamed around the mall and found this cap that was meant for dressing up your teddy bears! this explains why it is only big enough to cover my fringe bun!

At the night market outside the mall, we were drawn to the mountain of corn! Sadly, the cupcorn was over-butterish.

Welcome to Bangkok, the land of chaotic traffic and countless colourful taxis which jammed the roads.

Uncle recommended us this chicken rice stall. It is a hot favourite among office workers nearby during lunch hour. We love the soup!!

More shopping continued on Christmas Eve!

Till now I can still vividly remember the 2 beautiful Japanese ladies who took this photo for us!

Gina and I did pedicure and manicure on Christmas Eve! David was really kind and patient. He shopped around Siam Square n MBK while we get ourselves pampered! He came to find us about 90min later without any grumbles and even complimented our nails!!

Where to find such fine young man you tell me! Gina and I were sooooo impressed!! Ladies, grab this bro of ours!!!

HAHA all the fat and short toes/fingers are mine la mine la! Heh! Im sure the ladies will know how disgustingly cheap is nail services in Bangkok! I did my manicure at ~sgd 6 and pedi at ~sgd 15 including the generous amount of gemstones on my toes!

For heaven's sake stop cheating our money you Singapore nail salons!

We braved ourselves for the Cabaret show in the evening! How can we miss out those ladyboys in Thailand!? =D

Can you believe she is a HE?

Ohhhhh MANnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!

Our attempt for a Christmas countdown at the Asahi Beer Garden failed and the night market trip that followed was disappointing. Nonetheless we still reached home in the wee hours and had loads of laughter over every lil' thing that night!

Of the three times I visited Bangkok, I guess this is the best trip for the good food, cheap shopping, free accommodation and most importantly, really wonderful company with never-ending laughter! We were never calculative with our money, never argue about the itinerary and was never shy of being ourselves in the room! =D

Its so good to know that we can depend on one another at any time! HAHAHHAHA!! BUT THEY WILL NEVER DEPEND ON ME! THIS IM VERY SURE HAHAHAHHAHA!!! =D

Will our grand plans for Hong Kong n Finland come true? LOL! =D
